KNOSER is committed to your security. All data transmitted from and to KNOSER will be encrypted with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), an industry encryption standard on internet.
For your own security do the following:
Update your operating system and browser on a regular basis.
If you get a notice to update, take care of it, update your software as soon as possible, or let your computer even apply the outstanding updates automatically.
Check for viruses and malware
If you are using an operating system commonly affected by viruses and/or malware, install a trusted anti-virus software, run scans periodically and especially keep your anti-virus software up to date.
Even if KNOSER protects any transferred data from and to your computer with the highest possible level of encryption, in some situations or certain environments it can be better to not use your password and consequently to not log in.
This can be, for example, on an insecure computer in an Internet cafe, on a monitored computer of an authority, or with too many observers while you are entering your password.
For such situations, we've built a functionality that allows you to store a limited amount of information on your account without the necessity of doing a real login.
We call it Send2Me, and you can find it in the upper right part of the menu: Send2Me
To still have a certain level of security, you must enter the Send2Me@User string in order to be able to send the information.
This is composed of a secret keyword, followed by an AT character, followed by your user name.
The first part of this string, the Send2Me string is a secret keyword, which you can specify under your account settings. We recommend you to change the default value set there.
The second security measure is a limitation of the daily number of information transmitted by this way. This number can also be adjusted within your account settings.
With KNOSER, you can save any data without the need for a special format.
Nevertheless, you can assign categories and subcategories for better structuring. What you have to specify when entering data is a date, a category and the information itself, all other fields are optional. You find the data input every time just after you logged in.
There are some special categories that automatically convert the entered information into a link.
These categories are URL, ASINcom, ASINcouk, ASINde, ASINfr and ASINit.
If one of the ASIN* categories is specified, a link to the corresponding amazon of the country will be created.
If you wish, you can also save your data encrypted in KNOSER so that only you can read or decrypt it.
You can set a different password for each record.
You can even enter data for encrypted information storage without having to sign in.
Under the menu item Send2Me you can, by entering E1: under category, followed by the desired password, make sure that the information entered under info is stored in encrypted form.
The specification of E1:test, for example, encrypts the information entered under 'Send2Me Info' with the password 'test'.
If you want to enter the password or information face down, you can hide the content as you type.
On the data output form Output you can search or filter your data according to specific criteria.
The displayed results are refined in real time with each additional search criterion entered and you can use the drop-down menu to filter within the categories or subcategories entered so far.
The set of displayed search results is limited to the number configured under user settings ('results to show').
Click on the trash icon to delete data. The practical thing is, that the data is not deleted immediately, but first put into the trash. You can recover data from the trash by clicking the recycling icon.
